This year, the annual UNU Visiting Lecturer is Wilfred A. Elders, Professor Emeritus of Geology from the University of California who has been involved in the
Iceland Deep Drilling Programme in Krafla, North Iceland.
Wilfred A. Elders will be giving a series of five lectures on "Applications of petrology to geothermics" from Thursday the 3rd to Friday the 4th of September, and Monday the 7th to Wednesday the 9th of September.
