UNU Fellows from developing countries and some Central and Eastern European countries, that fulfil the requirements, receive scholarships financed by the Government of Iceland and the UNU. The scholarships cover international travel, tuition fees and per diem in Iceland. The Fellows, therefore, do not need other funds for their training.
The UNDP and the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) as well as the European Union have also financed fellowships for several trainees through the years.
The UNU-GTP does not offer scholarships to candidates from industrialized countries.
